Meet
our family!
My
daughter Tabitha, son-in-law Jerry & our
wonderful
granddaughter Kate!

Nandina
Shelties is located
on over 5 heavenly
acres in the
resort
area
of Mooresville,
N.C. near Lake Norman.
My
husband
&
I have been devoted
sheltie lovers for
over
20 years.
I
show my dogs in
AKC Events, which
are governed by
the highest standard
in regards to the
rules and regulations
for the breed.
On
occasion we might
venture out to another
registry
such
as the United Kennel
Club or the National
Canine
Association
to exhibit our shelties
in order to earn
additional
titles.

Yes,
that's me......
Check
out my new toy!
This is what you
really call
"IMPRINTING
FROM BIRTH!"
I
was given my first
sheltie
as a toddler,
or should I say
he actually attached
himself to
me in the
fall of 1955. A
beautiful bi-black
that we called
Blackie.
He would lay beside
my crib day &
night. He
became my
best friend and
guardian angel for
all his life.
I aquired
my second Sheltie
in the spring of
1963, she was
a present
for my 8th brithday.
My mother &
I decided to
call her
Fluffy, since she
looked just like
a little fluff ball!
She was a
beautiful red sable
with white markings.
As a little
girl I had such
a deep affection
and love for
dogs that
I would frequent
the local animal
shelter in
Charlotte,
N.C. always bringing
home another four
footed
fuzzy critter!
On one special day
I laid my eyes on
the
most beautiful
creature, he was
a dark shaded sable
sheltie.
I pleaded with my parents
to allow me to bring
him home
from the shelter.
I would call him
Brandy.
Brandy was
my 3nd sheltie,
he was very much
like my
AKC Champion
Dan in color and
structure. I never
new
that the deep love
for this breed had
been cultivating
since
I was born.

Nandina
Shelties
derived its name
from the Nandina
Shrub which decorated
our
property abunduntly.
This hearty shrub
will stand strong
and steadfast through
the most brutal
temperatures whether
it be hot or cold.
There are no pest
or disease problems
with
the
Nandina Shrub nor
are they poisionous
to dogs, so how
nice
is that? We
felt it only fitting
to prefix our kennel
name
after the
Nandina bush. Nandina
Shrubs produce white
flowers
in the spring and
bright red berries
which hang like
grapes in the fall
and
on through the winter
months.
As a tip, you can
make beautiful long
lasting
table
arrangements from
this shrub for the
holidays.
Nandina--also
called "Heavenly
Bamboo"

THERE NO
KENNEL RUNS HERE!
OUR PUPPIES
AND
DOGS HAVE PLAY YARDS
AND ARE
HOUSED MOSTLY IN OUR
HOME!

Respectfullly
we maintain a low
number of Sheltie
kids here,
between 10
to 12 is our comfort
zone. We like
to make sure
we
have enough time
for each one when
it comes to individual
Playtime....Grooming
and LOVE!
Our dogs
are tested for genetic
defects. We promote
this breed
for its beauty &
intelligence in addition to a warm and loving
temperament with sound minds,
structure and a pleasing eye.
In our breeding program
our aim is set high as a concerned
and responsible breeder to produce according to the standards
of the American Shetland Sheepdog Association and AKC.
Our shelties, puppies or adults are placed in APPROVED
homes only. We require spay/neuter contracts on all our pet
puppies and we offer a health guarantee. All our puppies are
imprinted at birth, home raised with TLC and socializing skills.
Our puppies and dogs are microchipped for Identification.
We are a breeder that has a deep respect and passion for the
betterment of the breed so here at Nandina have adopted the
motto "QUALITY ABOVE QUANITY".

I
am a current member
and in good standing
with
the
following Shetland
Sheepdog Organizations:
Triangle Shetland Sheepdog Club
of
North Carolina
Supporting
the
Triangle Shetland
Sheepdog Rescue
Of
North Carolina
American
Kennel Club
&
American Shetland Sheepdog Association
God gave us this wonderful breed so it
is up to us to
maintain the Sheltland Sheepdog to the
best of our ability!
